What am I thankful for this Thanksgiving?
Howdy Reader Person.
2015 has been a busy time on the road for me. Travel deals, glitch fares, rewards points, and fate have sent me to Montreal, Jamaica, Amsterdam, Brussels, Nairobi, Zanzibar, Colombia, and Mexico. Work has sent me plenty places too like Boston, Oakland, Philadelphia, New York, Louisville, Baltimore, and Nashville. I’m profoundly blessed to have opportunities that take me outside of my comfort zone. For that reason alone, I feel compelled to bring back some of the most intriguing stories, moments, questions, and photos to share with others. I’m working on lots of content from these places. My Evernote notebook is overflowing with pieces in progress, quotes from people I’ve chatted with, deep personal questions I’ve grappled with on the road, and a hodgepodge of interesting links I’ve come across on the internet of things. I hope you’ll continue to join me in this journey and leave comments when you feel compelled. Lots happening behind the scenes and I wouldn’t be so inspired and enthusiastic to share those things if it weren’t for you. Thank you. I’m grateful for your support, your reading, and your insistence that I keep sharing.
A wanderlusting intellectual millennial on a journey to let my curiosity get the best of me everywhere I go. I enjoy traveling and being immersed in the unfamiliar. I love cultural anthropology, urban planning, and pretending to know other languages. A dancer by training and a social scientist by dreaming; born in Washington DC, raised in Maryland, eight years a New Yorker, and a serial hobbyist. My current obsession is hoola hooping. I even do gigs and take my hoop when I travel. Fo'reals.
